The design proposal is a response to create a building which becomes a backdrop to the large foreground, catering to two distinct programs -  a school and a mission office. The proposal can be read volumetrically as two parts - the granular lower block with climatic brick screens, punctured by exposed concrete staircases, double height break out spaces with sunken courts forms the school. The official block with concrete fins treated with structural rationalist approach, sits atop, bridged by a porous and nebulous verandah like floor wedged between the two principal stratification. Instead of devising two distinct blocks, the design seeks to take advantage of the connection with the ground plane for the school while lending privacy to the insular office block above.
