College of Agriculture, is a 47,350 sq.ft colonial building located in Maharajbaug, in the heart of the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Formerly built as a palace for Queen Victoria when she was to visit India, it housed the Victorial Technical Institute for nearly 40 years and later was handed over to Agriculture College in 1906. The structure is estimated to be at least 150 years old. The restoration efforts were embarked upon in the year 2014 and has been phased in three stages. The work involves detailed documentation and condition assessment of the entire structure. The proposal includes an architectural re-orientation to upgrade the services, structure and planning for better utilisation.
