The proposal is an extension to the existing facility, centered around foregrounding publicness in section and at the edge while still addressing the existing facility, complexity of site constraints, integrating partially existing structure, HVAC and other essential services. The design, explores in section and plan to increase public engagement with the institution through porosity in architecture, by positioning the non-ticketed public activities to the front edge while relegating the pedantic programs to the rear.
