Co-founded by R.Ramalakshmi and Surabhi Shingarey, the architectural practice is focused on interpreting context responsiveness to create contemporary and relevant, built environments. With attention to tectonic inventiveness, structural and material explorations, the studio has designed critically acclaimed and sensitive projects across India, exploring a range of technologies, scales and typologies ranging from convention centres, institutions, schools, cultural centre, community centre, housing to private residences.​

The firm has been the recipient of several awards including the ‘iDAC Infinity 2025’ Winners, Bengaluru (Institution category); ‘Young Architect of the Year 2024’, WADE ASIA; Prime Minister's honour amongst 75 women Architects for contributing to 75 years of architecture in India at IAADB23, with their works exhibited at the Redfort, Delhi. “Future Trajectories” identified the firm in 2023 for “challenging and re-interpreting tradition and building technology” and shortlisted the firm amongst “practices on the Horizon, committed to creating meaningful built environment and offering hope about the future of architectural practice in India.” The firm is committed to pursuing and evolving a discourse on appropriate, sensitive and critically rigorous architecture through their varied engagements in architectural practice, research and teaching.
