The architectural practice pursues making of the built environment as a critical discourse. The projects explore tectonic and typological inventivesness to create dignified habitats for varying users, in diverse contexts and climate, across scales - ranging from architecture, architectural interior, re-use, renovation to urban design and heritage conservation. The studio aspires to articulate, through design as a process and outcome, sensitive built practices with a search for contemporaneity.
The co-founders of the firm, R.Ramalakshmi and Surabhi Shingarey have been honoured by the Prime Minister of India, as amongst 75 women Architects for contributing to 75 years of architecture in India at IAADB23, with their works exhibited at the Redfort, Delhi.
