R. RAMALAKSHMI (B.Arch, M.Arch)

R. Ramalakshmi is a co-founder and principal at Samvad Design Studio since 2015. She is interested in interpreting context responsiveness to create contemporary built environments. She draws from her research interests in Indian history as well as her work exposures ranging from training under Chitra Vishwanath in 2009 in Bangalore to working at Rahul Mehrorta Architects in Mumbai in 2013. She obtained her Master’s degree in Architecture from CEPT, Ahmedabad, in 2012, graduating with the Louis Kahn Gold Medal for her post-graduate research. She completed her Bachelors’ in Architecture from NIT, Nagpur, where she was awarded the Poornima Prize for best outgoing Thesis student, in 2010.

SURABHI SHINGAREY (B.Arch, M.Arch)

Surabhi Shingarey is a co-founder and principal at Samvad Design Studio since 2015. She is interested in tectonic expressions and potential of various materials and structure. She has been interested in formal aspects of architecture and space making with a keen exploration for detailing, which she developed while training with Indigo Architects in Ahmedabad in 2009. She obtained her Master’s degree in Architecture from CEPT, Ahmedabad. She completed her Bachelors’ in Architecture from NIT, Nagpur, where she was awarded the ‘Academic Excellence Prize’ for the best outgoing student, in 2010.
